Florencia Lalor will be presenting at New York University, Silver School of Social Work, at the ‘Becoming or finding an adoption competent therapist Training’.

The organizer and main presenter of this training is Dr. Joyce Maguire Pavao, adoptee, psychiatry professor at Harvard Medical School, founder and CEO of the Center for Family Connections, and renowned international consultant on adoption issues.

The program develops the set of skills required to be an adoption competent therapist, the various approaches needed during the pre-adoption and adoption process, and how to continue to support the birth and adoptive parents as well as the child over time.
